Ongoing Reporting Guiding Principle 6 Clearly communicate students’ progress in learning

In this workshop we will explore

Guiding Principle 6 clear, jargon-free language helps students to understand where they are and where they need to be clear language is essential in reporting progress to parents schools should consider including short overview statements on students’ learning progress within reports

Reviewing what I do Working on your own or with a partner, consider the statements on page 32 of the booklet with a view to the following: jot down your responses with a view to further discussion with colleagues record your suggestions for changes to the written report/s your school generates.

Reviewing what our school does How can our school ensure that the process of producing student reports provides helpful information to support learning but does not become over complicated or bureaucratic? In preparation for a general discussion and planning session, review the material on page 33 of the booklet. What changes to the school’s reporting would you now make?
