Reproduction Lab Dissection and Identification of the female reproductive tract of beef, sheep, and swine

You will see a demonstration of the lab with a real tract

Look but you don’t have to touch

Dissect the tract, stretch it out and ID each of the different parts of a female reproductive tract

Start with the ovary and work your way back Start with the ovary and work your way back. Remember the function of each part also.

ID each part of the repro tract with a piece of paper with the part’s name on it and it will be checked for accuracy

Find those parts

ID all parts correctly

Groups will share unusual findings with the class

A baby lamb fetus was found

Look for: fetus size, uterine wall, cotyledons, and fetus parts

Lab write up should include Record what you did in your group Kind of tract, finding all the parts and describing how they looked and felt Drawing pictures of the parts as you see them Observing other groups findings Accuracy, neatness and word processing will be considered
