Introduction When buying a new television most people don’t think about what the ratios mean. For instance, what is the difference between a 16:9 ratio screen to a 14:9 or the fact that the screen is a 52 inch? Or, what are the dimensions of this screen and can it truly fit on wall in that area?
Content From TV to your phone display and any other rectangular display they all have an aspect ratio that written as W:H or W/H. Where W is the longest side of the rectangle and H is the shortest. Television screens had an aspect ratio of 4:3 and have since then been replaced in most part by the new wide-screen HD displays with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
