1) Joe wants to drive his new car to Washington, D. C. and back 1) Joe wants to drive his new car to Washington, D.C. and back. His new Ford Mustang gets 30 miles per gallon. The round trip is 190 miles. How many gallons will Joe use on his trip? Use a calculator and round your answer to the thousandths place Step 1: Divide 190 ÷ 30 = 6.3333 gallons Step 2: Round 6.3333 = 6.333 gallons

2) Jillian wants to drive her new car to Washington, D. C. and back 2) Jillian wants to drive her new car to Washington, D.C. and back. Her new Honda Fit gets 41 miles per gallon. The round trip is 202 miles. How many gallons will Jillian use on her trip? Use a calculator and round your answer to the thousandths place. Step 1: Divide 202 ÷ 41 = 4.9268 gallons Step 2: Round 4.9268 = 4.927 gallons

3) If gas costs $2.27 per gallon, how much money will Jillian spend on her round trip to Washington? Use a calculator and round your answer to the hundredths place. Step 1: Multiply total gallons & price per gallon 4.927 x 2.27 = 11.184 Step 2: Round 11.184 = $11.18

Step 1: Find the total miles of the trip 398 x 2 = 796 miles 4) A 2017 Chevy Silverado gets 24 miles per gallon. Mike wants to drive his new truck to Boston and back. Each way is 398 miles. How many gallons will Mike use on his trip? Use a calculator and round your answer to the thousandths place. Step 1: Find the total miles of the trip 398 x 2 = 796 miles Step 2: Divide 796 ÷ 24 = 33.1666 Step 3: Round 33.1666 = 33.167 gallons

5) If gas costs $2.06 per gallon, how much money will Mike spend on his round trip to Boston? Use a calculator and round your answer to the hundredths place. Step 1: Multiply total gallons & price per gallon 33.167 x 2.09 = 68.32402 Step 2: Round 68.32402 = $68.32
