2016 Schedule Track Meets: Fridays and Saturdays 4/15-5/16 Friday: 4-6th grade: Start 6:00 pm (High jump @ 5:30) Saturdays: 2nd- 3rd grade- Start 9:00 am Saturdays: K-1st grade- Start 11:30 am Calendar on RAAA Website Track Parent’s meeting tonight Practices Dates & Times RHS track is available for practices Contact your team as soon as possible Team pictures are 4/20 & 4/21 @ RMS

Events: K & 1st Grade 3 Field Events – each child can do 1 each wk Baseball throw Running Long jump Standing Long jump Running Events – alternate K/1st grade 50m 6x50 shuttle relay 70m 100 m 8x70 shuttle relay

Events: 2nd-3rd Grade 3 Field Events – each child can do 1 each wk (total of 4 per event) Baseball throw Running Long jump Standing Long jump Running Events – alternate boys/girls 50m 70m 100m Sprint Medley (100, 100, 200, 400) 200m 4x100 relay 400m

Events: 4th-6th Grade 4 Field Events High jump (starts before meet) Limit 3 kids/team/meet Shot put Discus Running Long jump Running Events – alternate boys/girls 100m hurdles 100m Sprint Medley (100, 100, 200, 400) 800m (run together, timed separately) 4x100 relay 400m 200m 1600m (run together, timed separately)

MUST BE COMPLETE PRIOR TO FIRST MEET! NO EXCEPTIONS!! Concussion Training ALL program directors, coaches, assistant coaches must complete online concussion training! 30-40 minute video After completing the video, complete the form found at: http://rosemount-aaa.org/raaa-concussion-awareness http://rosemount-aaa.org/concussion-training-certification MUST BE COMPLETE PRIOR TO FIRST MEET! NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Cancellation Policy Co-Directors will determine whether meets are canceled or postponed due to weather Follow the RAAA guidelines (ie, lightning) Canceling a meet is very last minute, sometimes not until we are at the track Do not assume that because one meet is canceled, they will all be canceled Check email often if weather is questionable Make sure your coaches have your correct email and phone numbers (preferably cell) Co Directors will determine make up meets

Miscellaneous Track shirts must be worn on the OUTSIDE of any jackets/sweatshirts 4-6th graders are allowed to wear 1/8” spikes but this is NOT Required Ribbon keeper (example) Parent volunteers each week First call, start moving to starting line Relays – Fast then slower team

Miscellaneous Clinics RHS track team to sponsor clinics for kids/parents/coaches Hand-outs available Using Athletechs for communication this year
