Building of Architecture Atlanta, GA The most important aspect of our design is the use of steel structures to incorporate the significant relationship between building and green space in Atlanta. The representation of this aspect can be seen on the North elevation in the steel bridge connecting the design studios directly to the gallery space. The dominance of the bridge on this façade illustrates the importance of said subject to the level of regard to which the city of Atlanta holds it. Our design also responds to the importance of a flexible design studio through an open two story space with a third floor loft studio overlooking the rest of the studio on the second floor. The openness allows the structural steel to be seen as part of the design, while allowing a maximum amount of flexibility in the layout of the studio. The use of details such as high windows and stone cladding tie the building into the campus setting by reflecting such images found in other campus buildings, most notably neighboring Lupton Hall. These details tie the building into its surrounding while the aluminum and glass central atrium give the building its own modern style.

The pedestrian bridge spanning between the studio and the gallery features unique tree shaped structural supports. They are formed by various wide flange shapes and connected longitudinally by channels.
