Chapter 26-Viewing the Universe

An astronomer: A scientist who studies the galaxy or galaxies?

What is the value of astronomy? To make new discoveries like: New planets Black holes Stars Nebulas Orion nebula----

May benefit humans-- Learn about the origin of Earth and the processes of how of solar system was formed. Knowing how stars shine may lead to improved energy sources. Learn how to protect us from potential catastrophes like collisions between asteroids.

Your vocabulary list is to be written into your journal and the word and definition written onto your giant flash card: Astronomy Note: Flashcard must be Galaxy complete when you leave Astronomical unit and you will have a quiz Electromagnetic spectrum on Friday and will begin Telescope new information --------- Rotation must work quickly!!! Perihelion Aphelion Equinox Solstices

The quiz on this will be Friday It will include all of these words. + whatever we cover during the week.

Teacher is mean!!! NO! You were not Responsible! What if I am not done? You will complete it while we are doing the fun Tribes activities tomorrow! Teacher is mean!!! NO! You were not Responsible!
