Target Market Strategy Presentation “Sensation Shampoo” Valerie Christensen

Introduction This market segmentation and a target market strategy will be dealing with a new product called Sensation Shampoo. This product is made with unique blends of organic herbs. The new product “Sensation Shampoo” is for both males and females. The product is available in different packs like sachets and bottles. The shampoo has all the nutrients like proteins, vitamins, minerals and other organic essentials for improving the hair quality. Product introduction is the first stage of product life cycle. The new product introduced to the market by the existing company is a shampoo for both males and females. The company has to prepare a market plan for this product. The market plan would have a full description of the new product, the target market for this, size and demographics of the market. The shampoo will improve the shining as well as growth of the hair. The shampoo does not have any side effects on the skin and hair; hypoallergenic and tear free. As the shampoo penetrates the scalp it will give a tingling sensation as if the scalp were being massaged. Thus, it is a perfect product to introduce in the market.

Consumer Demographics Youth Kids Adults The targeted customers for this product will be kids, youth as well as adults. As the shampoo is for shiny and silky hair, the youth from the middle class will be focused more by the company. The reason for the selection of such market is that the shampoo is in the price range of them and have all the qualities preferred by the youth. The analysis of size and demographics of the market is essential for this new product because business depends on people/customers. The demographics of the business include population, such as size, growth rate, age, distribution, religious composition and literacy levels. The selected market of the US has a very big population of youth. The US market has a very good educational and growth level. The US market has a large pool of educated and skilled youth. The segment targeted is quite huge as it is almost covering consumers of all ages, all gender, and all ethnicities.
