Presentation transcript:

Comparing Slopes of the Lines using the Microsoft Kinect 2.0 Summary: In this activity, students will use body tracking software to record poses and save skeleton data. They will then calculate the slopes of lines formed by important joints, and will compare their results to see which lines are parallel and which are perpendicular. How do you find the slope of a line given 2 points using Kinect data points? What about finding the slope given 3 points? How do you determine if lines are parallel and perpendicular? Are graphs enough to make a conclusion that lines are either parallel or perpendicular? Explain. Are there other applications in math and sciences that you can use with Kinect data points?
