Character Traits/Life Skills Character traits are qualities of an individual. They can be displayed and easily distinguished.

Definitions Patience: Remaining calm through trying situations Initiative: Taking action Common Sense: Sound judgment based on facts Integrity: Consistent adherence to a moral code

Definitions Effort: A serious attempt Cooperation: Work together to reach a common goal Perseverance: Keep to a course of action, belief or purpose, without giving way

Definitions Problem Solving: to find a solution to an unsettled question Responsibility: acting without continual guidance or authority Flexibility: ability to adapt to new, changing, or different environments

Definitions Caring: to feel genuine interest or concern Organized: to coordinate and carry out activities Respect: to honor others with courtesy and consideration Honesty: truthfulness and sincerity
