Presentation transcript:

School Microclimates field work You will Collect data in the field Consider what factors can affect the data collected in the field Locate a bench for Mr G to have his cup of tea based upon evidence Construct questions for investigation

Where is the best place within the school grounds for a bench for Mr W to have a cup of tea at break time? Write/type the question above. Write a couple of paragraphs outlining the aims of this study, you should include some information about microclimates here. Look at the data collection sheets and write down 4 sub questions you could investigate using the data you will collect. Look at the map of the sites, describe the sites and their locations.

Data collection Consider carefully how we collected the information. Write a paragraph on where we collected the information and why we went to those places. For each of the following say exactly HOW we collected that information (mentioning the instruments and how they worked) and WHY we collected that information; Temperature Wind speed Wind direction Weather Aspect Cloud cover Ground covering Say what problems you had collected the information and what limitations there are for our methods
