3 Things to Eliminate Group One: spiders, weapons, drugs, weaves Group Two: death, coffee, high prices Group Three: mustard, facebook, drugs

Parts of Speech Noun: names a person, place, thing, or idea The coach has a calm personality on the field. Verb: expresses physical action, mental action, or state of being I coach my daughter’s softball team

Parts of Speech Adjectives: describe nouns and pronoun What kind: a tall women an angry crowd Which one: that man those books How many: twelve children

Parts of Speech Adverb: describes verbs, adjectives, other adverbs and other words how: He reads carefully when: He reads late where: He reads everywhere to what extent: He reads widely

Identify the underlined word as adjective or adverb. The day was chilly, but the group jogged briskly through the park.

righteous The pope is considered to be a kind hearted, righteous man. His deed of giving back an old lady her purse from a robber was so righteous, that he was put on the cover of the New York Times.
