The Art & Design students should complete the tasks on slides 4 – 9. These homework tasks are for Yr 9 going in Yr 10 Students ONLY. Over the Summer Holiday we would like you to complete a mini GCSE project. The Art & Design students should complete the tasks on slides 4 – 9. The BTEC Media students should complete the tasks on slides 11 – 12. The Graphic Design students should complete the tasks on slides 14 – 18. If you have opted to do more than one of the above courses then you will need to complete all of the tasks for your chosen subjects!

The Past - The Present day - The Future Art & Design Tasks You are to choose one of the three themes below to base your art work on. You can interpret them in any way: On the paper which you have been given, lightly draw around the jigsaw template then sketch out in pencil a design linked to your chosen theme. Add colour to your design. The next three slides show many examples of jigsaw piece designs. You will need to hand in your holiday homework in to your teacher during your first art lesson back in September 2018. OCR Art, Craft & Design J170 The Past - The Present day - The Future

BTEC Technical Levels 1 & 2 BTEC Creative Media You are to create a flipbook over the summer holidays to tell a story of your choice. Use the planning sheet on the next slide to roughly sketch out your ideas in the correct sequence. Choose to either make your book by using a post-it-note pad or from a bulldog clip holding the individual sheets of paper together. Draw just one image onto each page. If you choose to make a photograph flipbook rather than a hand drawn book, you will need to print out your photos then use a clip to hold them in place. BTEC Technical Levels 1 & 2 Click on the Pinterest logo for more flipbook ideas…

Graphic Design Tasks You are to choose one of the three themes below to base your design work on: On a Sheet of A3 paper you are to trace the Google logo template and re design this to reflect your chosen theme. Add colour to your design (Pencil crayon, water colour paint only – you may also combine these) You will need to hand in your holiday homework into to your teacher during your first Graphic lesson back in September 2016. The next slides give you some more ideas about this task… OCR Graphic Communication - J172 Based on a country Based on an Art or Design Movement Based on a famous inventor or scientist
