When is the last time you had to write? What was the purpose?

Setting the Context Purpose: Inform writing practices by analyzing student work Outcome: Identify next steps based on critical findings to help support writing across the curriculum

Analyzing student work (writing) through the lens of your questions

PLC Writing Questions… Samples: Relevance and Relatability of Prompt: Was the prompt effective in eliciting thoughtful responses? Effective Strategies: What student activities produce the greatest gains for the most students? Student Strengths: What are student doing well/strengths in writing? Quality and Clarity of Thought: Is the writing (thoughts) expressed logically? Reteaching: What do I need to teach or re-teach? You can also review/borrow other PLC writing questions on SmartJaguar
