Itinerary

The Journey Departure: Arrival: ESTIMATED MIGS at 0700 (17th January 2018) Arrival: ESTIMATED MIGS at 1700 (19th January 2018)

DAY 1 (17/1/ 2018) 0700 hrs Departure from MIGS 1000 hrs Kek Lok Tong (Buddhist temple, Mount Rapat, Ipoh; huge cave in the limestone hill made up of light grey to white crystalline Kinta limestone) 1130 hrs Ipoh Geological Museum (fossils, rocks and gemstones and information on geoheritage activities and geographical features in Malaysia) 1230 hrs Lunch 1430 hrs Royal town * Kuala Kangsar river on Balai Gambang Cempaka Sari, a royal barge used during the coronation of the Sultan of Perak. Students will then adjourn for brief stops at the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan. Final stop will be at Labu Sayong cottage industry centre for traditional pottery making. 1700 hrs Depart for Belum Rainforest Resort. 1930 hrs Arrive and check-in, shower and change. 2030 hrs Dinner served at the resort 2130 hrs Bedtime   

DAY 2 (18/1/2017) 0630 Rise and shine! 0730 Breakfast at Belum Rainforest Resort 0830 Departure to Banding Island (Belum Research Centre) 1000 Tour to Belum Valley * Visit Jahai and Temiar Tribe (Community Awareness Programme) 1400 Lunch 1500 Traditional Blowpipe competition and fun games at the Resort. 1800 Shower and change 1930 Dinner at the Resort 2130 Bedtime

DAY 3 (19/1/2018) 0630 Rise and shine! 0730 Breakfast served at the resort 0830 Transported to Orang Utan Island @ Bukit Merah 1030 Arrive at the Orang Utan Island- Educational Tour 1200 Explorace 1330 Lunch 1400 Local handicraft shopping at Bukit Merah 1500 Depart from Bukit Merah ; en-route afternoon tea 1700 Estimated arrival time at MIGS

Prayer Times for Muslim students will be respected and adequately catered for.

Packing List

Luggage measuring 70cm X 40cm X 20cm weighing 20kg only

Clothing All ‘personal clothing’ including pyjamas must be: ● Underwear and socks - 3 sets ● Sleep wear- 2 sets ● T-shirts – 4 sets ● Long lightweight pants – 2 sets ● Shorts – 2 sets ● Long-sleeved tops/T-shirts - 2 ● An extra pair of shoes ● A pair of slippers ● A towel ● Plastic bags (several) to store wet and dirty clothing All ‘personal clothing’ including pyjamas must be: labelled with Student’s Name appropriate and suitable for a School Camp

in small plastic containers, not exceeding 100 ml Toiletries Small quantities of -soap -shampoo -conditioner -toothpaste -moisturising body lotion in small plastic containers, not exceeding 100 ml

Day backpack ● A small towel, ● A water bottle ● Mosquito repellent ● Sun block ● Note book ● A small pencil case with basic stationery ● A jumper/jacket ● Hat ● Healthy snacks for the bus journeys ● Rain coat ● Travelling prayer robe and sarong for Muslim girls and boys (optional)

Money Not more than RM 100.00 (in small notes) for the children to buy souvenirs and snacks. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.

Medication Clearly labelled with name of student correct dosage purpose e.g. sinusitis, rashes To be given to group leader on day of departure

No electronic gadgets of any kind (ex: Smartphones, Ipads, Tablets, GoPro, PSP, etc) Cameras are allowed. ​
