DAY 1 - – THURSDAY THE 25TH OF MARCH 13.30-14.15: Spatial extensions to databases: This session consists of one presentation followed by a discussion. The presentation will focus on conceptual modeling of geographic data. An introduction to the conceptual modelling of the common properties of geographic data with focus on the modeling of consistency in data represented by different databases (called multiple representations). A solution to the management of multiple representations exemplified by data from topographic maps and a register will be presented.
