LLI-313 Four Seasons Exciting Journey in Manor Parks/ 4SeasonsParks PP4 – Rokiškis Regional Museum 15 May 2018

WP T1 Building and Dissemination of Know-how on Manors and Castles Parks’ Tourism Potential and its Exploitation

Activity T1.2 Training for manors' and castles' parks maintainers (09.2018 – 11.2018) 1st period PP4 will organise training for LT partners. 7 days training for manors and castles parks’ maintainers will be provided (25 persons in Rokiskis, LT). Participants of the training will be parks’ maintainers: governors, territorial planners, chief gardeners, other staff responsible for parks’ development and management in the Programme area. About 80 % of them will be representatives of partners, others will be representatives of other manors and castles parks’ located at the Programme area.

Activity T1.2 Training will include themes grouped in several blocks. These blocks and main themes included in each are: Historic development of parks and their values: architectonic and landscape values, principles of functionality of historic parks, renewal of parks observing their values; Expediency of parks development: requirements of nowadays visitors, planning and implementation of improvements, development of infrastructures; EU and national policies, legislation and mechanisms to be used for parks development: relevant policies and financial instruments for their implementation, guidelines and methodologies to be applied; Regional and local level instruments for parks’ development and maintenance: guidelines for inventory of parks, elaboration of parks’ development plans; Best national and international practices on parks development.

Activity T1.3 Training for tourism sector professionals (04.2019 – 06.2019) 3rd period PP4 will organise 2 days training for tourism sector professionals for LT partners (40 participants in Rokiskis, LT). Participants will be regional and local tourism sites and routes promoters, responsible for elaboration, implementation and promotion of tourism products and services. About 80 % of participants of the training will be representatives of partners, other will be representatives of other manors and castles parks’ located at the Programme area.

Activity T1.3 Training will include themes such as: Measures and activities in "out of season" period; The newest trends in maintaining and promoting tourism sites combing culture and nature values and elements; Methods and mechanism for identification of manor parks’ tourism potential and target audiences; Methods and tools for addressing and reaching the target groups, Marketing channels; Products and services developed in clustering for increase of tourism routes visibility, attractiveness.

Activity T1.4 Study visits to partners sites (05.2018 – 10.2018) 1st-2nd periods PP4 will organise the joint LT partners study visit to Latvia. Duration of the study – 2 days. Participants will be parks' maintainers, tourism sector professionals, other professionals (mixed group). Number of participants – up to 25.

Activity T1.4 During the visit partners’ representatives will visit sites – manor parks, will have joint discussions about challenges and possibilities manor parks’ are meeting and how they are solved and used. If possible in time, visit to other sites, not being contractual partners, but holding significant parks’ maintenance and exploitation experiences, will be included in the programme. Detailed program of the visit will be developed in cooperation with other partners 2-3 months before the event.

Activity T1.5 Development and implementation of manors and castles parks' sustainable management, exploitation and refinement tools (05.2018 – 10.2018) 1st-2nd periods Sub-activity carried at partner’s level - elaboration of 2 educational programs for different groups of visitors: one for children, one for other target group. Programs will be shared with other partners. They are subject for implementation by other partners (if found appropriate).

Activity T1.6 The international conference (01.2020) 4th period The international conference “Latvian and Lithuanian manors' and castles' parks: past, present and future perspectives” will be held on 01.2020 in Rokiskis, LT. At least 60 participants anticipated. Representatives of all partners, as well of other stakeholders from LV and LT (regional authorities, culture and nature heritage supervision bodies, culture and nature tourism operators, other bodies, managing manors and castles parks, landscape architecture professionals) will be invited.

Activity T1.6 The conference will include: presentation of the project and its achievements, content related presentations of experts (speakers will be invited), discussions about challenges and possibilities for sustainable exploitation of manor parks’ and use of their potential for economic development of the Programme area, workshops for promotion of clustering among various stakeholders. Agenda will be developed jointly by all partners 4-5 months prior the event.

WP T2 Development of the Tourism Offer and Promotion of Sites and Routes

Activity T2.1 Identification of target groups’ interests and requirements (04.2018 – 10.2018) 1st-2nd periods PP4 will do need assessment for LT partners on national aspects (domestic tourists). Identification of target groups’ interests and demands with regard to: experiences they would like to get while visiting sites, services, their content and quality standards, which create visiting experience and opinion of guests. Assessment will be done by involving various stakeholders: entrepreneurs, tourism professionals, other tourism bodies, interest groups, etc.

Activity T2.5 Trip of foreign journalists to involved sites and routes (05.2019 – 07.2019) 3rd period PP4 is responsible for the programme and management during foreign journalists group 3 days visit to Lithuania. During the trip journalists will attend sites, will take part in organised events, will meet parks’ maintainers, guides and other specialists, who would provide information and give experiences which are developed for the target groups.

Activity T2.6 Joint Latvia's and Lithuania's tourism operators and journalists trip to involved sites and routes (05.2019 – 08.2019) 3rd period PP4 takes responsibility for hosting LV journalists and tourism operators during their visit in Lithuania. During the trip the group will attend sites, will take part in organised events, will meet parks’ maintainers, guides and other specialists, who would provide information and give experiences which are developed for defined target groups.

Activity T2.7 Promotional on-site events at involved manors' parks (09.2019 - 01.2020) 4th period PP4 will organise out of season event Kaleda feast (12.2019) (Detailed program will be prerared 2-3 months before the event)

WP I - Improvement of Parks’ Infrastructure and Facilities Activity I.3 - Acquisition and installation of the equipment for Rokiskis Manor Park (03.2018 – 12.2018) 1st-2nd periods The equipment planned for development of the park: 10 benches, 10 trash bins, 1 swing (19th century style), 1 grass mower, 2 scanners for counting visitors.

WP C - Communication Activity C.1 - Start-up activities including communication (03.2018 – 04.2018) 1) PP4 responsible for translation of digital project fiche into Lithuanian and for dissemination in Panevėžys district. 2) PP4 responsible for dissemination of the press release in Lithuania. Activity C.2 – Publications (03.2018 – 02.2020) PP4 will take responsibility on development of publications in Lithuania in national and regional media for ensuring visibility of the project, its activities, results achieved and outputs (time for the each publication will be harmonized with the project events).

WP C - Communication Activity C.3 - Digital activities (03.2018 – 02.2020) 1) Publications in websites of partners - information on the project and its activities (at least once each 3 months period) 2) Publications in digital social network (Facebook) highlighting planned events, feedback on activities held, results achieved on regular basis. 3) Placement of digital advertisement materials in the partner‘s website and their dissemination via other digital communication tools. Activity C.4 - Promotional materials (03.2018 – 02.2020) Informative posters will be produced and placed at partner‘s site visible to the public.
