OTDMUG Meeting • Sept 14, 2018 Welcome and intro

Goals/needs Goals/Needs Screenline/Cordon Line Counts ODOT to collect up to 4,500 counts for this effort in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Traffic Monitoring working with Modeling and Forecasting to indentify. HPMS Collector Routes ODOT asked MPO’s to count in the urban areas: Is anyone collecting this data? The locations need to be re-evaluated. Original numbers are high. Allen 215 Butler 338 Clark 239 Belmont 94 Cuyahoga 1306 Delaware 185 Erie 127 Franklin 1152 Geauga 83 Greene 278 Hamilton 1150 Jefferson 173 Lake 204 Licking 209 Lorain 347 Lucas 676 Mahoning 416 Medina 171 Miami 184 Montgomery 932 Portage 162 Richland 285 Stark 736 Summit 667 Trumbull 233 Warren 130 Washington 9 Wood 292   10993

Coordinate data Collection Eliminate double counting Share count locations Anyone collecting data regularly on the state system (IR, US, SR)? Local counts being collected on a cycle help the most. Springfield example – Melanie Runkel Share Data ODOT using the MS2 system. 3 scenarios Those with MS2/Keeping MS2. Toledo example – Lisa Householder. Will revolve around 2 different station ID’s. (ODOT and MPO) Those without MS2 We would prefer that you use our system for processing.

Coordinate data Collection Brings some consistency to the data Allows for QC check Seasonal adjustment Annual adjustment Allows you to add new data to existing count locations Those without MS2 System/Don’t want to use the ODOT System. Work towards an annual process. ODOT needs data from the previous year by the end of January. ODOT will be coordinating with of your agencies individually. Meetings to be set-up over within the next month.
