What Does the Research Say Parents Should Do? Have daily conversations with your child about school Ask questions that can be answered with more than “yes” or “no” Sample questions: What did you do in class? What was the best and worst part of your day? Which class or activity did you enjoy the most/least today? What do you have for homework tonight? What new word did you learn in school today? What does that word mean? Did you have any problems at school today? If so, what were they? 11/29/2018

What Does the Research Say Parents Should Do? Check Your Child’s Work at Home Make sure that your child has done a complete job with assignments Check your child’s notebook and/or planner 11/29/2018
