Powers of 10 - Video Assign a scale to each person in your group, note one system during the video Large Scale Marcoscopic Scale Microscopic Scale Atomic-Molecular Scale Share notes in groups, report systems

Write in Journal Why do you think scientists need to think about scales? What scales will we need to understand to explain the burning of ethanol? Compare water and ethanol at the atomic-molecular scale. What do you know, what do you want to know? Explain how you know. Add these similarities/differences to your Venn diagram from yesterday.

Homework: Each person at your table select a different website to explore scales. In journal write down one example from each of the four benchmarks.
