Solar panels are pretty expensive, but they are good to save money on electricity. They take something from the sun and do something with it to make it power stuff.

Words N-type semiconductor A semiconductor type in which the density of holes in the valence band is exceeded by the density of electrons in the conduction band. N-type behaviour is induced by the addition of donor impurities, such as arsenic or phosphorus, to the crystal structure of silicon. In N-type semiconductors, electrons are the majority carriers, and holes are the minority carriers. P-type semiconductor A semiconductor type in which the density of electrons in the conduction band is exceeded by the density of holes in the valence band. P-type behaviour is induced by the addition of acceptor impurities, such as boron, to the crystal structure of silicon. In P-type semiconductors, holes are the majority carriers, and electrons are the minority carriers. Solar panels are big square disks that take light energy from the sun and convert it to a different type of energy called electricity. A solar cell (also called photovoltaic cell or photoelectric cell)is made of monocrystalline silicon wafers
