What are robots? Robots are machine systems that have been created to aid humans in their everyday life and in scientific discoveries and experiments.

Shapes and sizes Robots can be of different shapes and sizes (not necessarily human shape).

Usefulness Robots can aid a carpenter by specific sight sensors to avoid injuries.

productivity Robots are used also for productivity because robots do not get tired like humans.

Aid in Home Robots can also aid by facilitating housework or other areas such as medical interpretations.

Dedicated Computer Systems A dedicated computer is designed to do a specific task The single task may not be a simple task, it can be complex Dedicated computers can only do what it was created for and nothing else Common examples are Sony PlayStation, ATM, GPS.

Advantages of Computerized systems Saving time Reduced errors Disadvantages: Expense Dependence on machinery

Simulations Simulations are representations (models) of a real life scenario. Examples of representations of simulations include videos in which the behaviour and characteristics of a system or scenario is presented by a video. Simulations may also include computer programs by which the behaviour and characteristics of a particular system are shown.

Example of a simulation In computing we can simulate he behaviour of the CPU and Main Memory (RAM) to show the process in which instructions are executed.
