Unıt 7: Superstitions If Clauses

If We use the first conditional when we talk about possible situations.

If If I study, I will be successful If I am successful, I will go to university If I go to university, I will have a good job. If I have a good job, I will earn s lot of money.

If clauses If part: Simple present Main clause: will + infinitive

If you find a four leaf clower, you will have good luck

If you see a black cat, you will be unlucky

If you hang a horseshoe over your door, it will bring good luck

If you break a mirror, you will have bad luck for 7 years

If you walk under a ladder, it will bring bad luck

If you wear a blue blue bead, you won’t be affected by evil eyes

If you open an umbrella indoors, you will have bad luck.

If you see a shooting star, your wish will come true.
