The Faith to Dig Ditches and Collect Containers 2 Kings 3 & 4

2 Kings 3 The Faith to Dig Ditches Mesha the King of Moab rebelled against Israel (2 Kings 3:4-5) Mesha made his own record of this rebellion and set it in stone. The Moabite Stone or “Mesha Stele” was found in 1868 at Dibon in ancient Moab (20 miles east of the Dead Sea).

The Faith to Dig Ditches When the Kings of Israel and Judah go through Edom to fight against Moab, they find themselves in need of water (2 Kings 3:7-12). Through Elisha, the Lord commands them to “make ditches,” and He would provide water and give them the victory over Moab (3:15-18)

2 Kings 4 The Faith to Collect Containers Elisha encounters a poor widow who possesses only one jar of oil (4:1). He instructs her to borrow empty vessels from all her neighbors and to fill all of the vessels with oil out of her one jar (4:2-6). When she has filled all the vessels, the oil from her jar ceases (4:5-7)

We Need the Faith to Dig Ditches & Collect Containers! When it comes to giving and receiving. (Ecclesiastes 11:1; Psalm 126:5-6; Malachi 3:10; 2 Cor. 9:10-11; Luke 6:38) When it comes to having a good family life. (Ephesians 5:22-33; 6:1-4) When it comes to loving life and seeing good days. (1 Peter 3:10-12)

Many Blessings are Received “According to Your Faith…” Matthew 9:28-29 The Lord can do more than you can imagine (Ephesians 3:20). But you must ask in faith (James 1:5-6).
