Indiana College Substance Use Survey Funded by the Indiana Collegiate Action Network Conducted online in Spring 2017 7,227 students from 31 campuses participated (10% response rate) 65% female, 82% White, 7% Hispanic, 77% full-time students, 15% Greek member, 40% under 21 years, 31% over 25 years

Substance Use in Past Month by Age Older students use less ex cigarettes ¾ alcohol vs ½ underage E-Cigarettes younger students Other substances very little diff by age

Past Month Alcohol Use, U.S. This is national data MTF since 1980 1980 – 1995 rates = 75-80% 1995 – 2009 rates = 66-70% Since 2009 dropped to below 2/3 (ex blip in 2012) with lowest rate ever reported in 2013 and has stayed there 63%
