RotiferRotifer. Phylum Rotifera From the Latin Rota a wheel and Ferre to bear or carry Rotifera is divided into two classes, the Digononta and the Monogononta.
Phylum Rotifera Members of the Phylum Rotifera are small ciliated organisms found mainly in freshwater The ciliated wheel organ (corona) is characteristic.

PSEUDOCOELOMATES PHYLUM NEMATODA PHYLUM ROTIFERA

PHYLUM NEMATODA

Phylum Nematoda: cs through esophagus, note pseudocoel & thick cuticle [fig 5.4]

Notice the 2 large round structures in the female (uteri) and the thick cuticles on both the male and female worms. [fig 5.3] B A Phylum Nematoda: Cross-section through female (A) & male (B) nematode worm.

Phylum Nematoda: cross section of male, note reproductive structures, and pseudocoel [fig 5.3]

Phylum Nematoda: cs of female- note intestine, pseudocoel, “kiwi-shaped” ovaries, oviducts, & one of the 2 LARGE uteri [fig 5.3]

PHYLUM ROTIFERA

Phylum Rotifera: (this organism is a pseudocoelomate Phylum Rotifera: (this organism is a pseudocoelomate!!!): note corona (for feeding, locomotion & respiration), mastax, pedal glands & spurs [fig 5.5]
