The Story of the “K & A’s Bakery” Way back when, two friends decided they wanted to bake for a living. Kelly suggested to Ali, “We should open a bakery for fun!” They did not realize what they were getting themselves into and they are in desperate need of some help. You are hired to work for Kelly and Ali during the holiday season. This season will have a lot of orders to be filled and they need your help in calculating the amount of goodies they bake, as well as, delivering the baked goods to different destinations. Game Directions The goal of the game is to use your skills of multiplication and division to quickly calculate the amount of baked goods they will make. To play the game you have to work your way around the city by rolling the dice to see how many spaces you are allowed to move when you answer the question correctly. If you answer the question wrong, you are not allowed to move and must stay where you are. Watch out, there are some traps that can slow you down, but if you are lucky you might finish your route quicker than you thought. When you stop on a house, pull from the “Chance” cards. Read the card and do what it says to do. To win the game you have to be the first person to make all of your deliveries and make it back to the bakery. Return

Game Preparation Game Pieces: Print out slide 5 and cut out your preferred game piece that you will move as you travel around the board. Game board: Print out slide 6. “Chance” Cards: Print out slide 7 twice (preferably on heavy stock with a distinct color), then cut into individual question cards. Shuffle cards before using them. Chance Cards Yippy! Someone has cancelled their order. Move ahead 2 spaces. Uh oh! There is a traffic jam. Skip 1 turn. Good job! You found a short cut! Move ahead 1 space. Oh No! You dropped one of your orders on the ground. Go back 1 space. Your friend decided to take one of your orders! Your bike just got a flat tire. Go back 2 spaces. You start moving faster because you drank Gatorade. Now you’re moving! You met one of your old teachers who talked to you for 45 minutes straight! Your friend let you borrow their go-cart. There’s no holding you back now! Oh man! You have to make a stop at a bathroom from drinking all of that Gatorade.
