Vcert Graphics Word Map Color is the element of art that is produced when light, striking an object, is reflected back to the eye. There are three (3) properties to color. First is hue, which simply means the name we give to a color (red, yellow, blue, etc.). The second property is intensity, which refers to the strength and vividness of the color. For example, we may describe the color blue as "royal" (bright, rich, vibrant) or "dull" (grayed). The third and final property of color is its value, meaning its lightness or darkness. Vcert Graphics Word Map Imagery is the literary term used for language and description that appeals to our five senses. When a writer attempts to describe something so that it appeals to our sense of smell, sight, taste, touch, or hearing; he/she has used imagery. Composition When you talk about the composition of something, you are referring to the way in which its various parts are put together and arranged. Use these word definitions to help you assess your own work and complete the “Evidence and Grading Tracker” Tone in an artistic context refers to the light and dark values used to render an image or object Line is the path left by a moving point. For example, a pencil or a brush dipped in paint. A line can take many forms. It can be horizontal, diagonal or curved. It can also change over its length, starting off curved and ending up horizontal, for example. Line can be used to show many different qualities, such as: contours - showing the shape and form of something feelings or expressions - a short, hard line gives a different feeling to a more flowing one Movements Types of drawing – 3D (isometric, perspective) 2D (elevation and nets) Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when displayed. ... The term typography is also applied to the style, arrangement, and appearance of the letters, numbers, and symbols.
