Mark 8:14-18 WARNING!

Mark 8:14 The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat. 15 “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” 16 They discussed this with one another and said, “It is because we have no bread.” 17 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? 18 Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear?

“Be careful,” Jesus warned them “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.”

“Be careful,” Jesus warned them “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Lev 23:6 On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Festival of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. 7 On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. 8 For seven days present a food offering to the Lord. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

Do you have eyes but fail to see “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Do you have eyes but fail to see

Do you have eyes but fail to see “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Do you have eyes but fail to see Mark 8:11 The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. 12 He sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to it.” 13 Then he left them, got back into the boat and crossed to the other side.

Do you have eyes but fail to see “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Do you have eyes but fail to see Luke 2:29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,     you may now dismiss your servant in peace. 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31     which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,     and the glory of your people Israel.”

Do you have ears but fail to hear “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Do you have ears but fail to hear

Do you have ears but fail to hear “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Do you have ears but fail to hear Mark 6:17 For Herod himself had given orders to have John arrested, and he had him bound and put in prison. He did this because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. 18 For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” 19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him.

Do you have ears but fail to hear “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Do you have ears but fail to hear Mark 6:19 But she was not able to, 20 because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him.

Are your hearts hardened? “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Are your hearts hardened?

Are your hearts hardened? “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Are your hearts hardened? Mark 7:6 Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips,     but their hearts are far from me.

“Be careful,” Jesus warned them “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” Mark 9:43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out.  And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.  And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell
