Emergency Preparednes The calm before the storm

Emergency Preparedness February 2nd-9th is Emergency Preparedness Week Important for the school community: we are responsible for keeping all of the students, faculty, staff and visitors safe in case of an emergency during school hours Important for our own families: we need to make sure that when an emergency arises at home that all members of the family know where to go and how to contact each other Important for the Augusta community: in case of an emergency in the community at large we need to know where to go for information, what parts of the community are safe and who to contact when we need assistance.

Emergency Preparedness is for everyone Emergency preparedness is incredibly important your safety and well-being. In fact the lesson we share with you today may save your life as well as the lives of others. By being prepared, planning for an emergency, and staying informed you will be equipped to respond calmly and confidently in the face of a variety of threatening situations. There’s an app for that: Ready Georgia: a mobile app that will update you to weather situations and assist you in preparing you and your family for an emergency.

Work Session: At this time your teacher will work with you to prepare an Individual Emergency Plan
