Membership Transfers & Changes What other types of membership grade changes are there? Students Student members who are no longer enrolled as full-time students must transfer (SmartStart) to Associate Students interested in transferring: www.ashrae.org/smartstart Affiliates Affiliate membership is limited to three years Is for members age 30 and younger Automatically transferred to Associate after the three year term Affiliates can change to Associate early Contact membership@ashrae.org for assistance Required to pay the balance difference of the two memberships
