The TESTING We will start with testing students writing in the persuasive form in Years 7, 8 and 9 (task E) This will be undertaken again by students in Term 4 We will aim to have students undertake the narrative test in Term 3 and again later in Term 4
Where to from here… Tests are set up for Year 7, 8 and 9 students Students need to undertake the writing tests in English classes, it is up to you when and how you arrange this, considering the current curriculum and resource requirements. Not all students in a class have to do the test at the same time The persuasive writing test must be done prior to the end of term Then we will run a session regarding the reports available and what information this provides We will then be trialing writing conferences, where students have the opportunity to discuss their writing with a teacher and set writing goals and discuss strategies based on this information We are currently looking at ways to gather and track the writing goals
