Milestone Review! March 19-30

3-19 Please come in, take out your device, and log into join.quizizz.com We will begin our March Madness for today. The numbers competing today are: (#9-12) and (#25-28) https://quizizz.com/admin/quiz/5aaa985de1f93c001cb9ee90

Test Data TEST RECOVERY IS DUE FRIDAY IF YOU NEED IT! REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST COMPLETE 2 OTHER ASSIGNMENTS IN ADDITION TO THE BENCHMARK TEST! 4th- 77 5th- 82 6th- 80 7th- 88 8th- 79 COLOR BY NUMBER SHEETS DUE TOMORROW AT THE LATEST!

RoundTable Reflection Each group needs to have poster paper and markers Today we will begin reviewing Chemistry! You are to create a table on your poster paper. It should look like this:

Concepts What I remember What I learned Diagrams Compare and contrast pure substances (elements and compounds) and mixtures. (Include heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures. Movement of particles in solids, liquids, gases, and plasma states when thermal energy is added or removed. Compare and contrast chemical and physical properties of matter. Support the claim that when a change in a substance occurs, it can be classified as either chemical or physical. Analyze patterns within the periodic table that illustrate the structure, composition, and characteristics of atoms Describe conservation of matter in a chemical reaction including the resulting differences between products and reactants.

Instructions You are to complete the What I Remember portion first. Jot down ideas about what you remember. It can be vocabulary or anything that pops into your mind. We will take about 8 minutes for this. Next you are completing the What I learned. USE YOUR IANS!! You may use any resource you can think of to complete these ideas. Be sure you answer the portion of the standard completely. Get as much information as possible. We will take about 10 minutes for this task. Next, you are to draw a diagram to summarize. Think of anything you can to connect the standard to this diagram. We will take about 8 minutes for this. Last, as a group, you are going to come up and present your information to the rest of the class. As other groups present, add information to your sheet.

3-20 Please be sure to turn your color by number sheets into the black box! Please come in, take out your device, and log into join.quizizz.com We will begin our March Madness for today. The numbers competing today are: (#13-16) and (#29-32) Last day of Round 1! https://quizizz.com/admin/quiz/5aaa98e1b491af001c3fb46a

Please come in and grab your poster. You will have 10 minutes to finish this. We will do extra March Madness tomorrow  ZERO cellphones…

Please send one person to come and collect your poster from yesterday Please send one person to come and collect your poster from yesterday. You will be given 5 minutes to add any additional touches you wish. After this, a few of you will present your posters. As those present, please write down any additional information you feel would be beneficial.

CHEMISTRY SCAVENGER HUNT! Today you are completing a Chemistry review packet. This will be for a grade. You may use materials (*hint, like your poster) to help you answer questions BUT you may NOT use your partner or table mates. After you fill it in on your paper, you will enter it into iRespond. After you enter it into iRespond, please be sure to put this review packet into your IAN on pg. 80!

3-21 Please come in, take out your device, and log into join.quizizz.com We will begin our March Madness for today. We are starting Round 2!! https://quizizz.com/admin/quiz/5aaa98e1b491af001c3fb46a (TUES) https://quizizz.com/admin/quiz/5aaa9b4060ea1900197907a9 (WED)

Those that did not complete the pink packet yesterday will complete this today. You will enter it into iRespond when you are finished. You may use whatever resources you have (No phones) to help you answer these questions. You may re-take this pink chem review packet if you would like and I will average the scores together! Tomorrow we will be taking a review packet on Energy. Friday, will be the day you may re-take each 

Four Square Frayer Today’s Topic will be over Standard 2- Energy Transformations You are to split your paper into 4’s with your middle section boxing in the title: ENERGY TRANSFORMATION Draw a diagram comparing and contrasting Kinetic Energy (KE) and Potential Energy (PE) as it relates to mass. Draw a diagram of either a roller coaster or pendulum and label the KE and PE on it. Be sure to take into consideration friction. Draw a picture illustrating energy transformation in a lightbulb. Draw a picture of conduction, convection, and radiation. In each of these pictures/diagrams be sure to give a summary statement that explains your thought process.

Boggle!! On your next page in IAN, pg. 81, please draw a circle. Take 2 minutes and write down 5 things you learned today. Quietly, WITHOUT TALKING you are going to get up and visit 5 other students. Without talking you are going to write down 5 different facts OUTSIDE of your circle. We will take 3 minutes to complete this.

3-22 Please come in, take out your device, and log into join.quizizz.com We will begin our March Madness for today. Competing today are: https://quizizz.com/admin/quiz/5aaaa079a59a50001a3bc5c4

We are going to continue reviewing ENERGY TRANSFORMATIONS! Today you are completing An Energy Transformation review packet. This will be for a grade. You may use materials to help you answer questions BUT you may NOT use your partner or table mates. After you fill it in on your paper, you will enter it into iRespond. After you enter it into iRespond, you will continue reviewing with Energy Task cards. Please pick up an energy task sheet.

Task Cards Please be sure to put your task card answer sheet into your notebook. This may be taken for a grade, so do your best. You are starting on this today, and will have time to finish tomorrow. Try not to spend more than 1-2 minutes per station. Once you have shown me that you have answered them, you may take an iPad and scan the QR code to get the right answer for that slot.
