INSPIRE Good Practices 48th MIG-T meeting 11-12 April, Ispra

INSPIRE Good Practices – Rationale Formal (but slow) processes for updating IRs and TGs Ongoing discussions / existing examples (in MS, projects or by solution providers) of good practices for specific implementation issues (e.g. how to create persistent identifiers) opportunities offered by emerging technologies and standards (e.g. Vector Tiles, OGC SensorThings API) or extensions/profiles for specific application domains Have a formal process for proposing such good practices for MS/EC consideration Widely adopted good practices could also lead to the development of new or extension of existing TGs

INSPIRE Good Practices – Examples GeoDCAT-AP for sharing INSPIRE metadata in open data portals INSPIRE RDF encodings for sharing INSPIRE data as linked data Data model extensions for specific application areas Service specifications based on Vector Tiles or OGC SensorThings API

INSPIRE Good Practices – Procedure Initiation using a "good practice fiche" including evidence that the solution has been put into practice and has received broader support Outreach through a webinar Submission for inclusion in a good practices section in the INSPIRE Knowledge Base (potentially with support from one or several MIG-T representatives) Opinion of the MIG-T/MIG to endorse, ask for clarification or reject the good practice Feedback from users through the good practice repository

Good practice fiche Name Description INSPIRE component(s) References Normative reference Other references Relevance & expected benefits Intended Outcome Evidence of implementation & support (to be documented using the INSPIRE in Practice platform) Limitations
