The NDCO Program aims to improve the transition of people with a disability aged 15 to 64 into tertiary education and employment. Your National Disability Coordination Officer can help provide information, coordination and referral for people with a disability.

NDCO Program A conduit to networks resources programs and services that support the inclusion of people with disability into tertiary education and employment Is a source and provide professional development opportunities that relate to inclusion and careers for people with disability Can support with specific projects that meet the aims of the NDCO program

Activities Inclusive Learning Conference - Targeting educators working with youth with disability to learn more about best practice in education. Practice and Transition Networks - Regular localised network meetings with education providers and transition service providers to provide opportunities to Network, get updates on local activities and share best practice. Resources and information - Development of Website, facts sheets, directories and newsletters Contributions to Policy - Surveys, research and collaboration nationally to inform government of local impact of State and Commonwealth policy. Professional development – Career development, assistive technology, Autism, intellectual disability Parent As Career Transition Support – Parent workshops Personalised Employer Disability Awareness workshops

DDA Standards for Education A person with a disability has a right to study at any educational institution in the same way as any other student, this includes access to the full curriculum including. If a person with a disability meets the essential entry requirements, then educators must make changes or "reasonable adjustments" if that person needs them to perform essential course-work.
