He cause grass to grow (14-18) Genesis 1:11-13, 3rd day Grass is descriptive of provisions Consider Matthew 6:25-34
He appointed moon and sun (19-23) Genesis 1:14-19, 4th day He makes darkness??? James 1:17 Animals that work in the night Man works during the day – God’s will – Gen. 2:15, 3:17-19, Today – Eph. 4:28 God works in His time! 2 Peter 3:8
Works made in wisdom (24-26) Genesis 1:20-23, 5th day Manifold works (too numerous to count) The earth is full of Your possessions – 1) Abundance to sustain 2) Who does the world belong to? Leviathan – Job 41:1-11 – God can sustain it all. All can work together
These all wait – we ARE dependent upon His providential care Genesis 1:24-28, 6th day These all wait – we ARE dependent upon His providential care Both good and calamity – even to take away breath! God can execute His will! His Spirit sent forth – renewal – cf. Genesis 2:7
