Exterior Features Octastyle porch (Greek) a – peripteral colonnade (Greek feature) b – deep porch (Roman) c – entrance towers (Eastern) d – multi-level cella (Eastern) e – adyton (shrine within a shrine – housed the cult statue) – (Eastern)

Portico – A roof covering a wall and a row of free-standing columns This portico stretches right around the Temple of Bacchus over a high podium (Roman feature)

The ceiling of the portico is elaborately carved with reliefs, featuring: Scenes of gods – eg. Vulcan, Diana, Victory Ornate patterned designs
