(Communal Obligation) (Individual Obligation) Importance of Dawah Majority Muslim Area Majority Non-Muslim Area Fard Kifaayah (Communal Obligation) Fard Ayn (Individual Obligation)

EXAMPLE OF THE REWARD FOR DAWAH You get a copy of the reward of every good deed a person does! If Your Dawah influences 1000 people and they all become righteous believers, you will gain the reward of living 1001 lives! If each of those 1000 people influence 1000 people who become righteous believers, you will gain the reward of One Million Lives!

It is a Domino effect, generation after generation of continuous reward even centuries after you have passed away!!!

Qualities of a Da’ee: KNOWLEDGE KINDNESS WISDOM PATIENCE PRACTICE UNDERSTANDING

Dawah Methods Public Lectures and Debates One on One Street Dawah Casual Dawah Distributing Pamphlets and Flyers Indirect Dawah: Overhearing a conversation Dawah through actions Humanitarian Efforts/Social Service

Can you think of any others? Dawah is a very open field with a lot of room for creativity and flexibility. Do not limit your methods of Dawah, always think up new methods and approaches, as long as they are within the bounds of Shariah.

How to Start a Dawah Conversation? (Casual, Street or One-on-One Dawah) There are variety of ways to do this, here are a few tips: Ask them a question about their religion/beliefs Discuss some political situation or News Story involving Muslims Ask them their occupation then when they ask you yours, explain that you are a preacher/teacher of Islam Ask them about the Purpose of Life Discuss Islam in front of them

Messengers and the Afterlife The Five Pillars – Laws that make sense! The Islamic Message Tawheed Purpose of Life Fitrah (Human Nature and Logic) Messengers and the Afterlife The Five Pillars – Laws that make sense!

Tawheed Proving the Existence of God Proving there is only One God God Created us for a Purpose God sent messengers If there is a true God, there must be a true religion from God!

The Purpose Of Life We do not make things without purpose so why would God do so? The Purpose of Life can only be known from God hence the need for revelation Islam teaches us that this world is a test to show who will worship Allah and who will not We can fulfill this purpose by living our lives in obedience to God If we have a purpose, logically there must be reward for fulfilling it and punishment for neglecting it

The Fitrah Anything which is naturally good is prescribed in Islam Allah created humans with a natural inclination towards good and a natural aversion to evil Anything which is naturally good is prescribed in Islam Anything which is naturally evil is prohibited Part of this Fitrah is the belief in One God Always get people to introspect, this gets them back in tune with their Fitrah Nature also helps get people in tune with their Fitrah

The Messengers ABRAHAM/IBRAHIM JESUS/EESA MUHAMMAD ABRAHAMIC FAITHS Peace be upon them ABRAHAM/IBRAHIM JESUS/EESA MUHAMMAD ABRAHAMIC FAITHS PROPHET OF ALLAH FINAL MESSENGER COMMON ROOTS MESSENGER OF ISLAM PROOF OF ISLAM RESPECTED AND LOVED PERFECT ROLE MODEL HAJJ AND EID

THE AFTERLIFE The Justice of God demands an Afterlife It is unjust that those who obeyed God and those who did not receive the same end All major religions agree about the concept of Heaven and Hell Since Allah owns Paradise, it is His Right to set the conditions for entering it.

THE FIVE PILLARS HAJJ SAWM ZAKAH SALAH TAWHEED

EVERY PILLAR MAKES SENSE! SALAH ZAKAH SAWM HAJJ PURIFIES HEART EXPERIENCE HUNGER BUILDS BRIDGES COMMUNICATE WITH ALLAH HELPS THE POOR GAIN SELF CONTROL BUILDS PATIENCE BUILDS GOD CONCIOUSNESS UNITES THE COMMUNITY UNITES THE COMMUNITY UNITES THE COMMUNITY UNITES THE COMMUNITY
