2017 Water System Report System Availability Maintenance and new equipment installation required several partial shutdowns for approx. 2-4 hours each. Typically weekdays 10am to 2pm Watch bulletin board for 2018 announcements

2017 Water System Report Water Quality & Usage 2017 DoH-Required Testing Monthly bacteriological – all passed Nitrates – passed Our water quality is excellent! 2017 Water Usage Pumped 30,848 gallons/day in 2015 Pumped 26,253 gallons/day in 2016 Pumped 23,919 gallons/day in 2017 8.9% decrease over 2016. This is an excellent trend!

2017 Water System Report Conservation Dry summers encourage increased water use Please avoid watering mid-day (Noon to 5pm) Inefficient time to water – much lost to evaporation Water properly for a healthy lawn 1” to 2” per week depending on soil conditions One good soaking rather than daily short watering promotes deeper root growth Consider soaker hoses for shrubbery and gardens Control irrigation with timers and water at off-peak times

2017 Water System Report System Maintenance & Upgrades Street Vault Upgrades Replaced 12 vaults in 2017 Includes new poly-box, shutoff valve, piping and water meter Meters required as part of State DoH mandated water use efficiency (WUE) program 2018 Plan Continue installations in Zone 1 predominantly “up the hill” 2019 Plan Wrap up the final 11 installations Baseline system meter reading (annual event)

2017 Water System Report Installation Progress 2017: 70% Complete 2018: 86% Complete 2019: Project Complete
