NURSERY Def.- “Branch of horti. Where seeds, seedlings, propogated plants, flower potting materials, fertilizers,pesticides and garden implements etc .are available.” Classification: a)Whole sale nursery b) Landscape forms c) Garden centers d) Mail-order nursery Importance Plant nursery is very important for farming. If seeds are directly planted in the farm, the spacing between them after they grow might be uneven. But if they grow to a sapling stage in the nursery and then are planted, the spacing between them will be equal throughout. This is necessary so that there is no competition for water and minerals between the plants.
