Types of Data Quantitative – observations that are measured or counted Ex: 28 students, three meters long, 10 seconds Qualitative – observations that are not easily measured Ex: colors, rankings, descriptive
Examples Usain Bolt ran the 100 meters in a world record time of 9.69 seconds. Usain Bolt ran faster than anyone in the world.
Quantitative or Qualitative? There are too many students in my last class.
