Mark 11: 1-10 * Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem as King, while riding on a donkey was foretold in Zechariah 9: 9-12.

that was His Role then and is not all there is to Him. Although Jesus was meek, lowly, humble, seeking, patient and forgiving when He first came to Earth… that was His Role then and is not all there is to Him.

Old Testament prophecies, Jesus’ own words & other N.T. passages, and especially The Book of Revelation all create a larger picture of Him: An all-powerful, conquering King with an unstoppable mission to right the world. * Revelation 19: 11-16

Daniel 7: 13-14 13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of Heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”

Mark 2:10 “But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on Earth to forgive sins.” Matthew 12:8 "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what they have done.”

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

John 9: 35-38 35 Jesus heard that [the religious leaders] had thrown [the formerly blind man] out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” 37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” 38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew 20:28 “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

Even in the midst of embracing the power and authority of His Role as The Son of Man, Jesus demonstrates that such power doesn’t limit or restrict His saving love and compassion for the human race. He is Savior and King.
