Teaching With Technology ED5700-Fall 2008 Six weeks in review A PowerPoint Presentation By Kathryn Welling

What I have learned so far Website creation Blogging is fun Creativity is important Graphic organizers are very useful Group work is helpful While challenging and time consuming, this course is fun!

How I will Apply what we’ve learned Share assignments, homework, handouts, and projects through blogs and website Use a class wiki for specific projects Definitely PowerPoints (slideshare) and Webquests Virtual, online learning assignments (i.e. visit San Diego Zoo, etc…) Help students develop study skills through graphic organizers, such as Inspiration and RecallPlus

How I would explain this course Incredibly Interesting Challenging Time Consuming Never Boring Sometimes Frustrating Always Rewarding

How I feel about this course Sometimes I feel like I am learning a new language. I feel confused, doomed, and like my mind is empty. But when I figure “IT” out, I mostly feel happy and proud!!!

Good things about twt The course is fun, interesting, challenging Dr. Smirnova is extremely knowledgeable The course encourages the student to learn by investigation – to create our own experiences The YouTube videos, especially “Life After Death by PowerPoint” Learning to work well in a group I am learning a lot

What I would change about twt Give listing of all assignments at beginning of course or on monthly basis.

In closing…… Thank you for a challenging, yet rewarding course that I know my future students will benefit from!
