Men Who Care Enough to Share Lesson Two MAN UP BIBLE SERIES Men Who Care Enough to Share Lesson Two

The Real World God came looking for you! What an amazing thought! The creator of the universe came looking for you! That concept should inspire us and reminds us of the great love that God has for you as an individual! So how did God look for you? That my friend is a different story for each of us. That is the story that we are called to tell to all around us. It is not some far away tale it is our story. Very personal and very unique. That word unique is what the word begotten in John 3:16 means. God so loved that he send His only “Begotten” son! This small group discussion will focus on the Scripture found in Matthew 9 where Jesus went out into the world to share God’s love with a hurting world. It tells us that when he saw the crowds he had compassion and healed them. This is our job today. To get out there and offer the healing presence of Jesus. Are you ready for this?

The Real Word Matthew 9:35-38 New International Version (NIV) The Workers Are Few 35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Real Talk When was the last time you really helped someone? Do you ever stop and help the homeless at the corner? What can you offer to a hurting world or friend? Why are there so few people who really care?

Real Steps This Scripture in Matthew has some real answers for us: Jesus Went – If you need motivation get out in the world. Jesus Saw – You need to go and then look around. Jesus Has Compassion – The ability to care. Jesus Proclaimed – Tell out the Good News. Jesus Healed – You have the same calling and power. Jesus Calls - What About You? The call is going out? GOD NEEDS WORKERS! HE WANTS YOU!

Time to Close As we close this small group discussion I want us to consider something. Is there a difference between listening and hearing? How about the difference between doing and being? How about the difference between looking and seeing? I know somewhere in those words I just shared there is a real concept. We can go through life just as observers. Not really involved. I love sports. I love them because I have played almost everyone of them sometime in my life. I was a participant. I know what it feels like to hit the perfect golf shot. I know what it is like to make that ball swish through the net. Are you a Jesus Fan or a Fanatic? When it comes to getting out into the world are you content to just sit on the sidelines or ready to get into the dirt and filth of real evangelism? The Workers are few. God is calling. What is you answer today?
