NO REPEATS! 3. RESEARCH your photographer after conferencing with me. ONLY use museum, gallery, university or artist websites for research. YOU WILL NEED TO INCLUDE A SLIDE OF WEBSITES UTILIZED. NO WIKIPEDIA The artist you choose must: Black & White Film Photographer (search BLACK AND WHITE “SILVER GELATIN” or “GELATIN SILVER” PRINT). Be a professional photographer meaning made/makes their living off of their art and work is in a museum or gallery. STEP 2: Create a PowerPoint SLIDE 1: Title Slide with the following information: Picture of Photographer Photographer’s Full Name Date of Birth & Death (if applicable) Birth Place Where did they spent most of their life/career (if different from birth place) Photography 2 Your name SLIDE 2: ARTIST’S WORK What type(s) of photography do/did they create (historical, scientific, documentary, fine art, portrait, still life, abstract, narrative, editorial, journalistic, landscape….) Subjects / Concepts / Themes in work Why did they create art? What influenced them? How did they create art? (what kind of camera, what kind of process). SLIDES 3 – 12: 10 examples of the PHOTOGRAPHER’S work in chronological order with the following info Title of Work Material(s) Year Created ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE PIECE SLIDE 13: List of websites/resources utilized Email completed PowerPoints to me @ rabrown@cbsd.org NO LATER THAN 6AM 6/5.
