Greta & Lester Gator By Mrs Ford

Once upon a time in a swamp not so far away, lived…

Greta & Lester Gator.

Every day, Greta and Lester would swim in the swamp and look for things to eat.

So when the most food was on the left, he let her have it. Lester was a gentleman. He knew that Greta only liked to eat things that were on the left side. So when the most food was on the left, he let her have it.

So when the most food was on the right, she let Lester have it. Greta thought Lester was so polite, and she didn’t want to be a greedy gator. So when the most food was on the right, she let Lester have it.

One day, they found some food.

They swam over to the food.

3 2 On the left side, there were 3 hamburgers. On the right side, there were 2 hamburgers. Since the greater amount of food is on the left, Greta ate the food ! 3 2

2 3 > 3 is greater than 2

Then they swam over to some more food.

4 7 On the left side, there were 4 hamburgers. On the right side, there were 7 hamburgers. Since the greater amount of food is on the right, Lester ate the food! 4 7

4 < 7 4 is less than 7

Who ate the food ?

Greta 5 > 4 5 is greater than 4

Lester < 5 2 2 is less than 5

Lester < 4 3 3 is less than 4

Greta 5 > 3 5 is greater than 3

Lester < 5 1 1 is less than 4

Greta and Lester were so full after eating all that food, they took a nap! THE END
