The Nurse Extern Program will provide the candidate the following opportunities: Exposure to a clinical setting, mentorship with an RN preceptor, hands-on clinical experience Observation or practice in areas of interest Introduction to the employment setting, allowing for a better transition from school to work Work in an acute care setting for ten weeks with full time pay 2018 Summer Nurse Extern candidates are required to be: Enrolled in the final term of a state Board of Nursing accredited BSN program (Bachelor’s degree senior year) BLS certified Apply online at www.whs.org select the Career tab and enter Student Nurse Extern in the search box to start your application by January 15, 2018.
