ECE 477 Digital Systems Senior Design Project  Spring 2006 Team 1 - Rubber Ducky Project Overview: Modeled after Nintendo’s Duck Hunt, project Rubber Ducky is a simple shoot-em up video game using a handheld gun. A simple image sensor is placed within the gun and is used to capture and analyze colors from a T.V. screen to detect game “hits”. Game Screen Shot Team Members: Stephon Watson, Anthony Eddy, Scott Boeckmann, Gabi Sarkis Gun: Image Sensor FIFO µC Project Specific Success Criteria 1) An ability to display NTSC video game images 2) Ability to capture a screen shot using an image sensor 3) An ability to detect a target in the image data 4) An ability to generate an audio signal using a PWN output 5) An ability to run the “Duck Hunt” game and display player status information Signal to Console Trigger Console: Gun Circuit Board µC Dual Port SRAM CPLD Signal from Gun Video Output NTSC Encoder Audio Signal Project Block Diagram Console Circuit Board Digijock(ette)-Strength Digital System DesignTM
