Characterization of a Drummer Boy Students will analyze the character of the young boy in the short story “The Drummer Boy of Shiloh.” Follow the directions below to complete the activity. You should review the text from the selection “the Drummer Boy of Shiloh” in the Holt Elements of Literature textbook on pages 203-208. You should scan the material for characterization traits of the young boy. Open the Write Smart software on your assigned computer and the Stick Figure Analysis PDF. Complete the components on the PDF by filling in your analysis of the Drummer Boy’s character traits. Be sure to provide text-based evidence from the selection. Once you complete the assignment you will print the PDF and turn it in for assessment.
