SUPREME COURT CASE PROJECT

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE Choose a landmark Supreme Court Case from list (attached on class page) Create a Powerpoint sideshow regarding the case with the following 4 slides. Print out Slideshow to hand in (you can put 2 slides per page if you want to save paper)

Slide 1: Title of Case (year case decided) Various pictures or cartoons representing case (please no graphic photos)

Slide 2: Case scenario Give a detailed account of the scenario that resulted in the case coming to court.

Slide 3: Legal Questions Give a list of the legal question(s) the court is to address in the case (you can refer to the Oyez project website www.oyez.org)

Slide 4: Ruling/Outcome of the Case list how the judges voted (eg. In a 5 to 4 ruling) Explain how the judges answered the legal questions and how they came to the decision.
